Perhaps, but not likely. Air Cadet Squadrons usually meet only one night a week and the instruction is designed to supplement your school studies... with the goal of making you a better student!

Learning to create balance in our lives, rather than conflicts, is a challenge we must all face.  You will undoubtedly benefit from your Air Cadet training, and you will also learn to deal with stress.

The weekly parade night is mandatory, but you can be excused for good reasons.  Additional activities (band, drill team, rifle team, etc) usually take place on different evenings, but these activities are entirely optional, and again you may be excused if required.

Air Cadets promotes academics, sports and team activities.  It is understandable that you may miss the occasional Air Cadet activity if you are fully occupied in these areas of self-development.  Air Cadets provides additional challenges and a range of opportunities for teenagers who thrive in these pursuits.
