Who instructs Air Cadets?

Air Cadets are instructed by officers of the Cadet Instructor Cadre, ex-servicemen, school teachers, former Air Cadets, Senior Air Cadets, and other persons willing to devote time to this activity. All volunteers are screened in accordance with Air Cadet League of Canada regulations and procedures.

Who sponsors the Air Cadets?

The Air Cadet program is a partnership between the Department of National Defense (DND) and the Air Cadet League of Canada. Air Cadet Squadrons have an Air Cadet League approved "Sponsor" or "Sponsoring Organization".

That Sponsor may be a club, an element of an association or other organization, or it may be a group of persons, such as a parents’ committee, formed specifically to sponsor a particular squadron. The purpose of this civilian committee is to promote and acheive the aims of the Air Cadet organization.

999 Sqn is officially sponsored by the Loyalist Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 623 Bath, and Amherstview Foodland. The Sponsoring Committee for 999 Sqn Royal Canadian Air Cadets is a registered charitable organization, BN 13038-7665-RR0006.
